Christmas is about sharing warmth and love with those nearest and dearest to you. When you want an intimate venue for celebration, choose from one of the following three options. Each has its strengths and weaknesses, which we will elaborate on below. Read on!
1. CABIN
Get away from it all with only your nearest and dearest by celebrating your Christmas in a beautiful secluded cabin. Kneel by the fire and tell stories, cook and eat hearty foods together, and exchange presents under the tree.
PROS: Celebrating in a cabin embodies the personal and warm spirit of Christmas, and will create picturesque memories for your family and friends to remember for a long time.
CONS: Transportation. It's often hard to reach remote country locations, so you'll probably need to drive there and back. Be sure to make arrangements for drivers and cars well in advance.
2. RESTAURANT
If you've got a favourite restaurant, ask the patron to shut it for one night and allow you to hold your party there. Restaurants usually have very individual vibes and decor, which makes for a unique party experience for you and your guests.
PROS: Catering. If you love the food, your catering is sorted for the evening!
CONS: Restrictions. Restaurants might not be accommodating to entertainment or dancing, especially if they would need to operate as normal on the following day.
3. HOME
The best place to hold a party for your nearest and dearest is your very own home. And why not? You take responsability for all the details (and the cleanup!), there's no time limit on when you have to leave the venue, and the options for decor, catering and entertainment are limitless!
PROS: Cost-effective. Throwing a party from your house means you don't have to pay rental fees for another space. It's the most economical option of all the intimate party venues.
CONS: Boring. Many hosts and hostesses want to show their guests something new and exciting, especially on a special occasion such as Christmas. A party from home might seem a little tame for the more discerning partygoer.
